Editorial policy
Genuine Policy Journal aims to make policy questions legible without presenting a proposal, institution or interpretation as beyond scrutiny. Our editorial work separates description, analysis and opinion, and makes uncertainty clear.
Accuracy and sourcing
We check factual statements against relevant, identifiable material and seek to represent documents and arguments in context. We distinguish what a source states from our interpretation, avoid implying that an announced aim proves an outcome, and revise wording when the available basis is limited.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to secure favourable treatment for a partner or subject. If a relevant interest could affect how a piece is understood, we disclose it alongside the material. Payment does not guarantee coverage or a particular conclusion.
Corrections
Readers can flag a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, verifiable concerns and correct material errors clearly; where a change affects the meaning of a piece, we explain the change in context rather than silently altering it.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner-supported material is clearly labelled near its appearance and kept distinct from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that is the case, the illustration is identified as AI-generated and is not presented as documentary evidence.
